How The Design Process Works

Choosing a designer is probably the most important decision of all that you are facing. The designer you choose needs to be open to your ideas and have the ability to be able to see your vision of your website through your eyes. Excellent communication and listening skills are a must. Here at JCWW we are fully qualified, certified in HTML coding and Scripting Languages. When you are ready to commit, we are here for you and will guide you through the steps needed to present your company to the world.

Contact The Designer - Your ideas don't have to be too specific at this point. You need to have a general idea of color schemes and preferences in layout (frames or no frames? Scripts or no scripts?). It's best to jot down your ideas so that when you contact the designer you can communicate your likes and dislikes. The designer will ask questions to get a good, solid feel of what your needs are.

The Contract - At JCWW, before a contract is signed, a single page sample is usually presented to the client. This is done to ensure that the designer and the client are thinking in the same terms. If both are satisfied that this designer can fulfill the needs of the client, a contract is drawn up. At JCWW a deposit of 25% is required to begin work. A time frame will be submitted to the client with the contract.

Work Begins - Work will be uploaded to the designer's site daily for the client's approval. Revisions will be made as necessary to ensure satisfaction. Again, constant communication is necessary to achieve your goals.

Checklists - Checklists will be provided via email to ensure that time frames are being met. These will be sent on a daily basis and will include URLs of uploaded pages.

Going Live - The entire site will be uploaded to the designer's server for inspection. It will bear the designer's copyright. If all is in order, an invoice will be sent to the client requesting the remaining 75%. At this point, the client reserves the right to cancel his/her contract, forfeiting the deposit. If the site meets the client's specifications, payment is made and upon receipt, the site will be uploaded to the client's server, or provided to him on cd or floppy for uploading.

Final Revisions - JCWW provides unlimited revisions and tech support for its sites in the 30 days following upload to the client's server.
